Northern Lights Manor is an Independent Living facility located in Derwent, a quiet country village with never-ending fields and blue skies surrounding a community located 70 km from Saskatchewan and two hours from Edmonton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This primarily agricultural community is a welcoming little town with much to offer including beautiful parks and amenities, shopping, entertainment and recreational opportunities that include a curling club, ice arena, golf club, and recreational center. They also host an annual Trade Fair as well as a Christmas Craft Fair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It should not go unstated that Derwent is noted for having one of the best pizzas in northern Alberta!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amenities<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One-bedroom suites are tastefully decorated with vinyl flooring and window coverings and feature a kitchen, full bath, dining and living room area, bedroom and in-suite laundry. In 2010, all suites were completely renovated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Fees and Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To qualify, residents must be physically and mentally capable of living on their own or with support from Home Care. Renters pay 30 per cent of their monthly income to a maximum of $553.00\/month and are responsible for power,  telephone and satellite charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
