Located in Willingdon, is a Supportive Living Lodge in a quaint village located 90 minutes northeast of Edmonton on Highway 45 and in close proximity to the nearby towns of Vegreville, Mundare, and Andrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willingdon is a community with basic amenities including a hardware store, grocery store, hotel, post office, and banks. Shopping in Vegreville, just 20 minutes away, includes Walmart, Tim Hortons, Canadian Tire, No Frills and several other amenities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local attractions include the Historical Village & Pioneer Museum at Shandro and the Historic Boian District, featuring St. Mary\u2019s Romanian Orthodox Church and a museum dedicated to local Romanian pioneers. Willingdon is also home to the world’s largest lapel pin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Services and Features<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Studio apartments of up to 414-square-feet are tastefully decorated with vinyl flooring and window coverings, and feature a bed, side table, dresser, chair and full accessible private bathroom. Housekeeping and linen service is provided weekly and personal laundry service is available for a fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building amenities include a social\/recreation area, barber\/beauty salon, library, hobby\/craft room, common area, laundry room. A computer for use by residents is also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food Services<\/strong>
All meals and snacks are provided in a dining room where residents can enjoy fine food and stimulating conversations with friends new and old. Small refrigerators and microwaves provided by Residents are permitted in rooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Health & Wellness<\/strong>
Eagle Hill Lodge provides Home Care to its Residents if required and is staffed with Health Care Aides that provide 24-hours-a-day scheduled and unscheduled personal care, support and medical assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A medical clinic is located in the building and a doctor visits the facility twice each week. Dental care and foot care is also provided by outside agencies that visit regularly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mild exercise program led by the recreation coordinator takes place three to four days a week. Other outings and special events take place throughout the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Recreation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eagle Hill Foundation believes wholeheartedly in the importance of providing residents with programs that build on their strengths and provide them with activities that are both mentally and physically stimulating. Activities vary from site to site but may include outings, exercise classes, gardening, crafts, and games like bingo or cards. Bible studies and a weekly church service also take place and are led by volunteers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Holidays and birthdays are cause for celebration at Eagle Hill and provide residents and staff with themes around which to plan events and parties that tend to involve cakes or sweets of some kind.  Visits from children are encouraged and groups like Mom and Tots often hold programs onsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested in getting out and seeing what Two Hills County has to offer? Eagle Hill has a 16-passenger van that is used to transport residents to local events, performances and shops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of our residents prefer to stay home and visit with friends or take a walk around the grounds. At Eagle Hill there is no shortage of things to do or people to visit with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>Fees and Eligibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eagle Hill Lodge accepts functioning independent adults 55 and older, including those using walkers and wheelchairs.  Eagle Hill also accepts adults who are frail and may have some mental illness requiring 24-hours-a-day scheduled and unscheduled personal care and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suite rents are based on the size of the room and the individuals Notice of Assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
